i took my first trip to italy at the end of april. it was quite the expensive trip so i better write down all my fun memories so that i'll feel like i did justice to the money i spent
venice - this was by far my favorite city although we didn't even stay here for a whole day. dennis and i flew into rome and then we took a train to meet up with the others. we were very much hoping to meet everyone in the afternoon, but with the bad weather, lack of overhead compartment space, missed trains, etc. we didn't end up there until 7pm. good thing i didn't try to go to cinque terre (next italy trip!)
i thought venice was absolutely beautiful. it is exactly the way that i pictured it would be with the boats and the canals and bridges. i adore all things romantic and i believe venice is probably one of the most romantic cities in the world. i also really love water which is odd since i can't swim.
one of my favorite things that i ate was a fresh warm chocolate croissant in italy. this croissant was also exactly how i pictured food in italy would be like. it was soft on the inside and flaky on the outside. it was heaven. i had hoped for many more on this trip but sadly that was the only one i had.
alas, venice i hope to return to you one day and have another chocolate croissant. hopefully with someone who wants to be romantic with me.
